Privacy Policy

Newspool is an NZB and Usenet client for iPhone and iPad. It connects directly to services selected and configured by the user. Newspool does not operate an account system, content service, analytics platform, or advertising network.
Data collection
The developer does not collect, transmit to developer-operated servers, sell, or share personal data from Newspool. The app contains no advertising, analytics, tracking, or third-party marketing SDKs.
Information stored on your device
Provider and indexer hosts, usernames, app preferences, download information, and locally downloaded files are stored on your device. Passwords and API keys are stored using the Apple Keychain. Search terms and search results are not retained by the developer.
Connections to services you choose
Newspool connects directly to Usenet providers, Newznab-compatible indexers, and related artwork hosts that you configure or use. Those independent services may receive information necessary to process a request, such as your IP address, service credentials, API key, search terms, or requested article identifiers. Their own terms and privacy policies apply.
Encrypted connections are used by default where supported. Users may choose to disable TLS for a provider, in which case traffic to that provider is not encrypted.
Sharing and files
Newspool shares files only when you initiate an export or use the system share sheet. Files imported into or downloaded by the app remain under your control on the device.
Deleting your data
You can remove individual downloads and settings in the app. The “Delete All App Data” action removes Newspool’s locally stored settings, history, credentials, and managed files. Deleting the app also removes its local app data in accordance with iOS behavior.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when Newspool’s functionality or legal requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
